What Everyone's Asking?
Is HundredOut Free?
Yes—most of it is. About 90% of the app is free, including GPS yardage for 40,000+ courses, scorekeeping, team play, 25 built-in challenges, social features, and more.
For those who want even more, we offer a premium version. Subscribing gets you into the HundredOut Club, unlocking access to exclusive perks like discounted merch, swag, special golf experiences, and additional in-app features.
Your support helps us continue building new features, growing the brand, and giving back—like our contributions to The First Tee and the broader golf community.
What is the HundredOut Challenge?
The HundredOut Challenge is one of our favorite features—it lets you compete to rack up birdies from within the “HundredOut” zone (75–125 yards out). There’s a live leaderboard in the app that tracks how many birdies you’ve made from this range, so every great approach shot counts.
When you're between 75 and 125 yards out, you'll see a Track HOC icon pop up on the Front-Middle-Back screen. Just tap it, take your shot, and if you make birdie on that hole, you’ll earn your spot on the HundredOut Birdie Leaderboard.
More leaderboards are coming soon, and we’re just getting started with this feature. Bonus: we donate to charity based on the total number of birdies made using the HundredOut Challenge—so you're doing good while going low.
How do the side bets and challenges work?
Checkout our challenges tutorial on Youtube
Side bets and challenges in HundredOut aren’t your typical money games—though if you want to throw some cash down, go for it. These are built to crank up the fun, keep everyone engaged, and stir up some solid trash talk.
We’re talking stuff like “next double buys the round” or “next 3-putt does pushups on the green.” You can choose from our preset challenges or make up your own—whatever keeps the banter rolling.
Here’s how it works: send a challenge, your buddy accepts with a “Let’s Go!” or backs out with “I’m Out.” After each hole or shot, select the loser and wait for someone to settle up. The app walks you through every step and keeps it fun—yeah, even sending reminders to that one friend who always ghosts on the payoff.
How do I get started?

Once you download the app, just follow the prompts to set up your account. You can sign in with your Apple ID, Google account, or create one using your email. After that, you’ll land on the Fire Away screen—your launchpad to start golfing with HundredOut!
What stats does the app track?
Right now, we keep it simple: Fairways Hit, Greens in Regulation, and number of putts. More detailed stat tracking is in the works, but for now, we're focused on keeping things fun, fast, and all about the good times on the course.
How do I keep score in the app?

Keeping score with HundredOut is super simple—and honestly, faster than using a paper scorecard.
Just tap the Keep Score button in the center of the main menu. From there, you can quickly enter your score, log scores for your group, and track stats like Fairways Hit (FH), Greens in Regulation (GIR), and number of putts.

The Front, Middle, Back (FMB) screen is your home base while playing a round with HundredOut. It’s designed for quick access to everything you need, starting with clean, easy-to-read yardages to the front, middle, and back of the green.
From the FMB screen, you can jump to the map view to see the full hole layout—including distances to water, doglegs, bunkers, and more. The main menu gives you quick access to scorekeeping, the social feed, side bets, and leaderboards. You can also set up a money game, check your profile, or exit the round—all from one place.
